Taking a short break this weekend from teaching encaustic and studying behavioral psychology (animal training…).

The workshop last weekend went well and once again problem solving with others deepened my abilities and way of seeing.  It’s so true that when you teach something to someone else your thinking and understanding of the material strengthens.

I think of my knowledge as a net; catching ideas from multiple sources.  Overtime, the net becomes a tighter weave and looks more like fabric.  Warp and weft.  Old ideas and new ideas constantly moving back and forth.  Click, clack, click, clack.

Forces can blow a hole in the fabric.  Spiders can weave new webs.

I was able to start a little painting during the workshop.  Finished it later on in the week.

Some new threads.

XOXO,

Francesca
