I keep a clean house. My bed is made in the morning and I rarely leave dirty dishes in the sink. I know not everyone lives like this but for me the order and feeling of completion make me happy.
In the studio though I’ve found it’s better to leave unfinished business.
Why?
I need to leave a creative trail to scent out the next day.
I’m away for the weekend and I made sure to leave enough waxy crumbs for my return. It will be easy to pick up where I left off with fresh eyes.

Maybe not a crumb. Could be finished.
These make me smile. It feels like they’re in the waiting room. :-)
